Carroll AP Boosters Announce Scholarship Winners

Three graduating Carroll Dragons will have a little extra money to spend on college next year. The Carroll ISD AP Booster Club recently announced this year’s scholarship winners.

Erica Cottingham, Colin Kantor and Kevin Xu were named recipients. These students completed the application process and satisfied all requirements which included at least one AP, pre-AP or honors class,  a letter of recommendation from one AP, pre-AP or honors teacher and a typed, 500-word essay.

Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each. The funds will be transferred to the winning student’s college. Cottingham plans to attend Texas A&M University, Kantor will attend the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and Xu plans to attend Washington University in Saint Louis. The students will be recognized at a formal presentation during the Senior Awards night event on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. atthe Carroll Senior High School Auditorium.
