Less Than 24 Hours to Southlake Stars and Stripes 2012

The countdown is on!  In just about 24 hours the City of Southlake and Southlake Town Sqaure will kick off the 13th annual Stars and Stripes celebration.

This year is expected to be bigger than ever with the live bands playing on two stages, a Patriotic Ceremony with a Patriotic Ceremony and an F-16 flyover, a kids zone, and of course the fireworks show taking place at 9:30 p.m.

If you are planning on spending July 3rd here are some tips:

  • This year the City has launched a new twitter site and will be tweeting live through out the evening.  Are you following the @StarsStripes12?
  • Tyler’s is selling this year’s official Stars and Stripes 2012 t-shirt.  Better get one quick because they are going fast!
  • Learn about the parking options and once the celebration is over, how to leave safely.
  • The City of Southlake and Southlake Town Square have partnered with 94.9 KLTY to promote Stars and Stripes 2012.  Spectators all over Southlake can tune in to 100.7 FM at 9:30 p.m. to hear the fireworks music that was designed for the show. With new music selections and a great show designed by Illumination Fireworks, it’s going to be something special.
