Dragons vs. Allen: Showdown In New Stadium

Welcome to Dragon Football 2012. The Dragons open the season Friday, Aug. 31 at Allen as both teams unveil the new 18,000-seat stadium. The anticipation for the game has been building all summer and the defending state champion Dragons enter as the No. 1-ranked Class 5A team in state.

The demand for tickets has been furious. Early Tuesday morning a long line formed at Dragon Stadium to purchase tickets. A few hundred tickets remain available at Carroll Senior High School and Carroll High School as of Friday morning. Allen is sold out of tickets.

Follow the Carroll-Allen game live on the radio at KWRD 100.7 -FM, The Word. All games will be preceded with a one-hour Countdown to Kickoff at 6:30 p.m. followed by a 45-minute post-game show. Chuck Kelly and Kelly Milligan return to carry all the Dragon games as this season marks the 10th year for Metro Sports covering Carroll football.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. Parking lots open at 3 p.m. Gates C & D are the visiting team gates. Dragon fans are welcome to enter any of the gates to the stadium and will be able to walk through the concourse to get to their seats.

Reserved seating for Dragon fans is located in Sections 120, 121 and 122. General seating is located in Section 119. Dragons students section is Section 123. No backpacks or outside drinks are allowed in the stadium. Body painting is not permitted and all students must wear shirts.
