Get the Family together for Southlake’s Fall Family Campout!
Summer has ended and cooler temperaters are upon us. It’s time to head outside again with the family and enjoy the great outdoors and everything nature has to offer.
Join us for the annual Fall Family Campout! We will be hiking, playing games, roasting marshmallows and listening to stories around the campfire. The family can also participate in our annual scavenger hunt, learn about geocaching and do a little star gazing!
The campout will be Saturday, September 29th though Sunday, September 30th at the Bob Jones Park Day Camp area (near BooBoo’s Buddies Dog Park). Tent set up begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The cost is $25.00 per campsite, which includes the cost for two campers. Each additional camper is $10.00 and there is a limit of five people per campsite. The registration fee includes dinner on Saturday and breakfast Sunday morning. Children must register with at least one adult.
For those concerned about protecting themselves from the West Nile Virus, Southlake participated in Denton County’s state-funded aerial spray program after the County declared a West Nile Health Emergency. Planes covered Southlake on September 1st and 2nd with the mosquito adulticide, DUET. Additional prevention will also be available at Family Campout with DEET bug spray and Citronella candles.
You can register online or in person at the Community Services office at 1400 Main St, Suite 210. For more information, please contact (817) 748-8019.
