Dirt Pile Removal Has Begun

After several meetings and obtaining the proper permits from the City of Southlake, SLTS Land, Inc. and Reyes Group, LTD. has begun the excavation and removal of the dirt pile located just north of the Hilton Hotel.  When complete, the dirt pile will be reduced to an elevation of three to four feet, with the remaining dirt to be used in future Town Square projects.

Earlier this week, the Reyes Group submitted the required erosion control and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) plans for review and a permit was issued.  Reyes also applied for and received administrative approval from the Southlake Department of Public Safety for a variance to the City’s noise ordinance, as the work will extend outside of the normal working hours allowed by the City regulations.

The excavation work will take place during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on Saturday’s from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  There will be no work on Sunday’s unless a catch-up day is required.  The work is expected to take about three to four weeks to complete.  Afterwards, the area will be graded and seeded to prevent future erosion.
