Cross Country Teams Battle Top Competition In State

The Girls Varsity ELITE 5 K race went to Southlake Carroll. The Lady Dragons scored 55 points with all seven girls finishing in the top 22 places surpassing second-place Lake Braddock with 71 points. Flower Mound finished third with 123 points. Courtney Kriegshauser led the Lady Dragons with an 18:09 fourth-place finish.  Elena Arriza 7^th (18:17), Tig Archer 13^th (18:34), Shelby Chapin 16^th (18:58) and Katy Burnham 20th (19:06) and Taylor Ullmann (19:09) rounded out the top seven at 22^nd. 

Connor Hendrickson’s fourth place 15:21 finish led the Boys Varsity ELITE team to the win with 53 points.  Four Dragons finished in the top 12 beating The Woodlands second place spot tallying 76 points, and Cedar Park third place finish with 125 points. Carroll’s Nate Sullivan (15:26) finished a solid sixth; Joe Sansone (15:34) was ninth and Trevor Gilley (15:42) eleventh. Jacob Pickle 26th place, (16:11), to score for the Carroll ELITE Boys and Alec Garner 32^nd (16:15) and Chase Wichman (16:33) rounded out the top seven.
