Volleyball Stays Undefeated In 4-5A, Coach Surpasses 900 Wins

The Carroll Lady Dragons remain undefeated in District 4-5A and coach Arthur Stanfield recently earned a coaching milestone.

Carroll moved to 36-6 and 7-0 in district action with a victory Tuesday against Haltom. The Lady Dragons won 25-12, 25-16 and 25-4. With the victory, veteran coach Arthur Stanfield earned career victory No. 902. It moves Stanfield to No. 14 nationally in career coaching victories, according to the National Federation High School record book. The national record for victories is 1,756. Stanfield is also 16 victories away from moving to No. 13 on the list. Stanfield earned his 900th victory last Tuesday against Northwest.

The Lady Dragons return to action Friday when they host Keller Timber Creek at 6:30 p.m. at Carroll Senior High School.
