Third Grader Defends Taekwondo Title

Carroll ISD student Jessica Neal defended her USA Taekwondo Texas State Champion title at the tournament held at the Gaylord Texan on Saturday, March 23. Neal is a third grader at Old Union Elementary School.

Jessica is a Blue Stripe (high green) belt on the NTA Colleyville competitive team trained by Master Jonathan Hardwick.  This is her second Texas State Tournament, she won over the completion last year and placed in first place in both poomse and sparring this year.

Jessica now qualifies to complete in the USAT National tournament in Chicago in July.
