Carroll Class of 2013 Graduation Friday

Carroll Independent School District is proud to host Commencement for the Class of 2013 at Dragon Stadium, 1085 S. Kimball Avenue, Southlake, TX  76092. Graduation starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Stadium gates open at 6 p.m. to families, friends and guests. Graduates must arrive no later than 6:15 p.m.

Rehearsal begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. Rehearsal attendance is mandatory if graduating seniors are to participate in the Commencement ceremony.

Valedictorian for Carroll Senior High School Class of 2013, Eunice P. Lee, plans to attend Harvard University to major in History. Carroll Senior High’s Salutatorian, Hope A. Miller, will study accounting at Texas A&M University.

In the event of inclement weather, Carroll ISD has arranged alternate times to host Commencement. On Friday night, there may be a delayed start between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. If postponed until Saturday, graduation times will be 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. If needed, graduation will begin by 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Carroll ISD anticipates approximately 592 seniors will receive their diploma on Friday. It is also estimated that $23 million worth of scholarships have been awarded to the graduating class this year to continue their education.

Carroll Senior High School PTO will be selling bottled water to guests attending Commencement to benefit Project Graduation. This all-night celebration held at Main Event Entertainment in Grapevine provides a fun, safe and substance-free alternative of celebration for the graduates of 2013. Southlake Girl Scouts, Troop #4036 are volunteering their time on Friday to help implement recycling during the Commencement ceremony.

Before graduating seniors walk across the stage, personalized messages from family and friends will appear on the Dragon Stadium video scoreboard. After the Commencement ceremony, families are welcome on to the field to congratulate and take pictures with their graduate.
