CISD Internship Offers Video, Writing & Marketing Experience

The Carroll ISD Communications & Marketing and Athletic Departments are offering an exciting internship for Dragon high school students.

Students in grades 9-12 can partipate in the program, which began during the 2010-2011 school year. Those enrolled in the internship get hands-on experience using video cameras at Dragon Stadium and help with the video production during home football games. Students also gain valuable experience with professional still cameras, writing stories for MySouthlakeNews.com, organizing district events and help with district marketing projects.

Students can use the time in the intership as community service hours. Over the years, students have learned valuable skills which have helped boost their resumes and led to free-lance assisgnments and projects outside of school. Other events include area field trips and monthly meetings and guest speakers. Past field trips have included tours of NBC5 and Channel 11. Students can apply anytime during the year.

Those interested can contact 817-949-7080 or email Carroll ISD Video Webmaster Rick Herrin at rick.herrin@southlakecarroll.edu.
