Youngblood Among Featured Speakers At Coaching School

Carroll's Jon Youngblood will be one of the featured speakers at this year's THSCA Coaching School in Fort Worth.

Carroll Dragon coach Jon Youngblood has been chosen as a featured speaker during this year’s Texas High School Coaches Association Convention and Coaching School later this month in Fort Worth.

The former Dragon boys’ basketball coach will speak July 29 at the Tarrant County Convention Center. He will host a basketball lecture on “The SMART take from the STRONG.”

Youngblood coached boys’ basketball for 23 years, produced 14 playoff teams and one state runnerup finish and held a career record of 423-288. He currently teaches and is an assistant golf coach at Carroll Senior High School.

“Being selected by THSCA to be one of the speakers at coaching school is a great honor,” Youngblood said. “You are presenting to your peers and it will be very humbing, but fun.”
