Carroll Clay Target Team Earns Top Honors

ClayTargetTeamThe Carroll Dragon Clay Target team won first place in two competitions last weekend. The Dragons won first place at the Youth Target Foundation Spring Skeet Shoot. Ryker Torti shot a perfect 25 straight and won first place in the JV division and won high score overall for the tournament.

Evan Brown, Carson Green, Grant Stewart and Will Vaughan also won first place in the Frost Bank Benefit Shoot (benefiting Buckner Baptist Orphanage). The team defeated 220 competitors, including 180 adults, to claim the top prize.

The team also competed in the Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Tournament. Paul Porter won third place in the JV Division-50 Bird Greenwing. Andrew Zelewski won second place in the JV Division – 100 Bird Sporting Clays and Jacob Terrell won first place in the Varsity Division – 100 Bird Sporting Clays. Terrell also won High Overall Sporting Clays and was the Overall Champion.

Carroll also won third in the Youth Target Foundation Trap Tournament on March 30 and Sarah Starks earned High Lady – JV Division.
