Carroll ISD has hired Lindsey Jacobson as the new English/Language Arts and Social Studies Coordinator for Grades 7-12. Jacobson previously taught English at Carroll High School and was an assistant soccer coach the past four years. She began her new role July 14.

Jacobson, a Carroll graduate, has 10 years of experience in public education and taught in Grapevine-Colleyville, Lewisville and Keller ISDs. She has Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Texas.

“As a Carroll graduate, a former teacher and coach, and now parent of a Carroll student, I have been and always will be a Dragon,” Jacobson said. “I have loved returning to my hometown to reinvest in the kids and the community that I grew up loving. I now have the opportunity to take that a step further by supporting and helping our teachers and administrators by communicating best practices in curriculum and instruction through English Language Arts and Social Studies.”

Jacobson has served on the district’s STAAR/EOC evaluation committee, the English/Language Arts district vertical team and been a leader in curriculum development.
