Southlake residents and commuters should be aware of a new road construction project that will start on Monday, July 7th. TxDOT contractors will be working in Grapevine near Colleyville and Southlake at the intersection of Brumlow Avenue – SH 26 – Pool Road. They will be implementing Phase 2 and 2A of a multi-phase traffic project.
The construction will start on the Pool Road side of SH 26 and is anticipated to be completed in late July weather permitting. Afterward, the TxDOT contractors will move to the Brumlow side where work at the Brumlow/SH 26 intersection is anticipated to last into late summer 2014.
Because of the location of construction, drivers will experience delays coming into and leaving Southlake via Brumlow Avenue. Please be aware of the likelihood of long delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
Here is what drivers can expect beginning July 7th:
Brumlow Avenue to SH 26
(Phase 2 & 2A) From Pool Road through SH 26 onto Brumlow (See maps below)
The purpose of this multi-phase project is to increase the vehicle capacity of the intersection of SH 26 – Brumlow Avenue/Pool Road. Once again and because of the high likelihood of this project affecting traffic, motorists should expect delays if using this intersection and should seek alternate routes if possible.
