Two former Carroll Dragon pitchers are beginning pro careers.

Right-hander John Curtiss recently signed with the Minnesota Twins after being drafted in the 6th round. Twins in the Rookie Appalachian League. Follow Curtiss’ outings here on the Minor League Baseball website.

Left-hander Greg Maisto signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. Maisto was drafted in the 16th round after pitching this year at McLennan Community College. Maisto signed in early June and has already appeared in three games for the Princeton Rays, also in the Rookie Appalachian League. Maisto is 1-1 with a 4.76 earned-run average and has one start.
