october-month-cat-pumpkin

October is shaping up to be a shiver inducing month at the Library. Not only will we have our normal Tuesday and Wednesday programming for babies through preschoolers, which will be filled with ghoulish delights; we have three special programs that are sure to cause scream worthy excitement:

  • October 13 at 11AM: First up, Le Theatre de Marionette presents “Spooky Strings”— a melody of entertaining Halloween characters performing amusing musical numbers.
  • October 13 at 2PM: Scribble Cakes will be here leading kids ages 12 and under in decorating their own cupcake treats. Sure to be a scary delight.
  • October 30 at 11AM: Hideout Theatre presents “Monster Families”— a family friendly show with a series of games, stories and interactions to connect Baby Monster and the audience for an entertaining, one-of-a-kind show!

Do you know who you are

Lest we forget, we have a monster of an event just for TEEN GIRLS!!

  • October 18 at 11AM: “Do You Know Who You Are?”— is an interactive event led by DK editor Allison Singer and psychologist Joannah Ginsburg where they’ll discuss burning topics like love, family, friends and so much more! Plus all teen girls will receive a customized teen event kit; which includes post-its, pens and more! This event is sure to cause sweet cackling, and general enchantment making of all kinds.

So, grab your kids (or send your teen girls) and come to the library in October for some bone-chilling, family friendly fun!
