Dragons Roll Past Midland Lee 56-6

MIDLAND – The Carroll Dragons improved to 3-0 with a convincing 56-6 victory against Midland Lee last Friday at Grande Communications Stadium.

The Dragons have a bye this week before hosting the Abilene Eagles on homecoming night Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30p.m. Carroll built a 28-6 halftime lead and defeated Midland Lee for the third time in two seasons.

Carroll had 562 yards of offense and produced two 100-yard rushers – quarterback Ryan Angew had 155 yards and running back Lil’ Jordan Humphrey had 143. Agnew had three rushing TDs and Humphrey had one. Both averaged more than 10 yards per carry.

Agnew also threw for 157 yards and two TDs and Tariq Gordon was the leading receiver with four catches for 90 yards and a score.

Carroll’s defense gave up just 223 totals yards and allowed eight first downs. Midland Lee was held to 21 yards passing.
