band logoOn Saturday, Oct. 18 the Carroll Dragon Marching Band performed at the Region 24 U.I.L. Marching Competition in Carrollton. With their best performance of the marching competition season thus far, the Dragon Band earned a Superior rating from all three judges.

With this accomplishment, the Dragon Band will now advance to the Area B marching competition on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Pennington Field. An official performance time will be released later this week. Students will compete against the top bands from Region 5, 7, 24, and 25. The Dragon Band will attempt to reach the Area Finals Saturday evening, becoming the first time to achieve this accomplishment for the Dragons in the 5A/6A era of marching competition.

Two weeks ago, the Dragon Band earned a Finalist top 10 position at the Tournament of Champions marching competition in Carrollton. Against excellent competition, the Dragon Band earned a 7th place finish. Special recognition goes to the Carroll Drumline for their 3rd place finish, and to the Carroll Color Guard for finishing tied for 4th place in their respective captions.
