Lady Dragons Win San Diego Hoops Tourney

The Carroll Lady Dragon basketball team had a successful trip to San Diego during the winter break.

The Lady Dragons won the championship of the Surf N’ Slam Tournament and defeated Sumner (Washington) 56-53 in the championship. Lady Dragon guard Kennedy Leonard was named Most Valuable Player and Priscilla Smeenge was named to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Dragons are 15-6 overall and 2-0 in District 7-6A. They return to action Tuesday when they host Coppell at 6:30 p.m. at CSHS.
