Durham Crowns Spelling Bee Champ

Durham Intermediate School crowned this year’s Spelling Bee champion recently. The winner was 6th grader Jillian Brown.

The runnerup was 6th grader Debopreeta Bhattacharya. Both students participated in the Area Spelling Bee at Cross Timbers Middle School in Grapevine on Feb. 5. Brown finished in the top 10 and Bhattacharya was in the top four.
