The Assessment Division of TEA has the following requirements:

  • All STAAR assessments have a four-hour time limit with the exception of English I and English II; these two assessments have a five-hour time limit.  Other exceptions are based on certain circumstances as established by the state.
  • No visitors will be allowed on campus.
  • Cell phones and all electronic devices should be left at home on testing days; students bringing these to school will have them collected by the staff prior to testing, and returned after testing is completed.
  • Campus schedules, including lunch, will be altered to accommodate the testing environment.

On testing days, please ensure your Dragons are well-prepared for their exam by providing breakfast and arriving at school on time.  Further information on specific state assessments will be communicated from your child’s campus.
