Southlake's annual Spring Family Campout will be held May 16 – 17, 2015

It might be hard to believe with all the crazy weather we’ve had lately, but spring is actually right around the corner! Before we know it, the sun will be shining, flowers will be blooming and Southlake will be full of green again. What better way to enjoy the beautiful Texas weather in the spring then with a campout for the whole family! Southlake’s annual Spring Family Campout is also the perfect way to celebrate National Kids to Parks Day on May 16!

Southlake Parks and Recreation wants to help your family re-connect with nature. Campout activities will focus on teaching the whole family explore and enjoy nature and this beautiful world around us. We will practice Leave No Trace principles while keeping an eye out for Texas wildlife – and even take a shot at trying to find the Milky Way!

The campout will be Saturday, May 16 – Sunday, May 17 at the Bob Jones Park Day Camp Area (near the BooBoo’s Buddies Dog Park). Tent set up will begin at 4:00 PM on Saturday. The cost is $25.00 per campsite, which includes the cost for two campers. Each additional camper is $10.00 and there is a limit of five people per campsite. The registration fee includes dinner on Saturday and breakfast Sunday morning. Children must register with at least one adult.

You can register online or in person at the Community Services office at 1400 Main St, Suite 210. For more information, please contact (817) 748-8019. Be sure to register early at as Camp Sites fill quickly!
