Cinnaholic is coming to Southlake.

Is there anything better than the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls? What started as a small vegan bakery in California is quickly becoming an uncommon and popular franchise. Southlake will soon be home to the next delicious location for Cinnaholic.

Cinnaholic is not your typical bake shop. The 100 percent vegan bakery specializes in nothing but custom cinnamon rolls in a wide variety of unique frosting flavors and toppings. In the mood for banana nut? No problem. Customers can even order rocky road. Cinnaholic has a varied assortment for any appetite and takes pride in offering products made from the highest quality ingredients. All products are dairy-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free.

“The fact that Cinnaholic is a vegan bakery is nothing compared to the fact that we’re the first and only gourmet dessert cinnamon roll bakery that lets you customize your roll with over 30 different frosting flavors and toppings,” stated Florian Radke, co-founder of Cinnaholic.

Shannon and Florian Radke founded Cinnaholic in 2010. The husband and wife team, both vegans, were inspired to open the bakery by their own lifestyle choices in combination with Shannon’s passion for baking. After receiving positive feedback from testing vegan cinnamon rolls among friends and family, the concept of a bakery became reality when the couple opened their flagship store in Berkeley, California.

Cinnaholic quickly gained recognition as a delicious new concept. After being named “Best of the East Bay” and “Best Dessert in the Bay Area,” the couple decided it was time to take the business idea to the next level—Shark Tank. Having seen other entrepreneurs successfully partner with investors on the hit ABC television show, Shannon and Florian decided to give it a try. Although they received an offer from one of the sharks, the couple decided it best to go their own way.

After the Shark Tank episode aired May 9, 2014, Shannon and Florian were flooded with inquires about franchise opportunities.

“We decided that turning Cinnaholic into a franchise would be the best way to expand the concept and the brand. By working with amazing local franchise partners, we are making sure that our concept is part of the local community and our products are made with the love and dedication from someone within the community,” stated Radke. “When our franchise partner from Southlake contacted us with the idea of opening a Cinnaholic, we immediately fell in love with the franchise partner and the vision they presented to us for the Southlake location.”

The Southlake location is scheduled to open this summer, along with several other locations across the country by the end of 2015. The newly revealed locations include Santa Rosa, California; Ocean City, Maryland; Charlotte, North Carolina and four more undisclosed locations in Maryland and Delaware. With close to 1000 reviews on Yelp and a 4.5 star rating, Cinnaholic will surely attract even those who are hesitant about trying vegan recipes.

Whatever flavor you prefer—coffee, key lime or even root beer—you are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth at Cinnaholic in Southlake, soon to be located at 2704 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 102.
