Carroll Mixed Doubles Team Competing at State

The Carroll Dragon mixed doubles team of Clara Merklin and Matt Landers will compete in the Class 6A state tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday in College Station.

The event will be held at the Mitchell Tennis Center and Omar Smith Instructional Tennis Courts at Texas A&M. Merklin & Landers won the Region I championship recently in Arlington. The unseeded duo defeated the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds en route to the region title.

Also, Carroll boys singles’ player Alec Reusche finished third in Region I and will serve as an alternate.
